Why not help Rotary to do useful projects

Friends of The Rochdale Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Rochdale is a small but thriving group of men and women working for the common good locally, nationally and internationally.

We are involved in charitable projects and have an interesting and enjoyable social life together. Although we have many projects on the go we are a small club and would like to do much more, we need your help.

We know that most people have a social conscience and want to “give back” to the community, but are unable to make a full commitment to such service groups as Rotary.

This is why we are forming “The Friends of Rochdale Rotary Club”. We are looking for people who support the ideals of Rotary and who are willing to lend their support to service activities as and when they can.

The benefits of being a Friend are:-

The opportunity to find out more about us, by being invited to attend an evening meeting on the 1st Thursday of each month. This would usually consist of a meal then Club business followed by a guest speaker. You should phone the assistant secretary during the week to confirm if you will be attending so we can order the right number of meals.

Our club bulletin will be sent to you by email or post, detailing the club’s activities.

You will be invited to join us at our social events, walks, musical evenings, special meals out, etc.

You will be encouraged to help with our service projects. These change regularly, and a member can explain more about this.

You would be able to attend our annual Charter Evening, when we celebrate the date when our club first started.

You would be able to join us at our annual District Conference. Not as boring as it sounds – a great three days of socialising, excellent speakers and first class evening entertainment.

There is a small annual fee of £25 and our evening meetings have a £9 charge for the two-course meal.
